- ➤ Tammie Gail, who lost her home last November, now has permanent housing in Tallahassee after community members and I-Rise Homes responded to her online request for help. ABC 27
- ➤ One Thomasville church held its 16th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. celebration Saturday with a community walk and grocery giveaway — Bible Based Church pastor and FAMU alumnus Darrick McGhee Sr. gave the keynote at FAMU’s convocation. WCTV
- ➤ A local plumber warns residents to prepare for dropping temperatures by taking steps to prevent pipes from freezing tonight (advising insulation of exposed pipes and allowing faucets to drip). WCTV
- ➤ Big Bend Continuum of Care is recruiting volunteers to count people experiencing homelessness from Jan. 27—30 across local counties. Training is set for Jan. 25 and donations are welcome to support care bag and meal efforts. Tallahassee Democrat
