  • FSU’s Herbert Wertheim College of Business will host the 2026 Business of Healthcare Summit on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at its Tallahassee campus; industry leaders, faculty, and students will gather to explore challenges and innovative solutions in healthcare.  Tallahassee Reports

  • The Wakulla County School Board will hold a town hall Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the district office on Arran Road to gather community feedback on solutions for overcrowding at Crawfordville Elementary; a plan is expected by February for next school year.  ABC 27
  • FSU’s new Legacy at FSU hosted its inaugural launch party last Tuesday, Jan. 13 at Bowden’s in College Town to restore a competitive two-party system & boost student engagement with a new mentorship program while rejecting claims of a Burning Spear tie.  FSU News

  • Suzanna's Kitchen recalled 13,720 lbs of ready-to-eat chicken after a third-party lab found listeria in products produced Oct. 14+ the recall affects items sold in Florida and six other states and no illnesses have been reported.  CBS News
  • A USDA recall of about 13,720 pounds of ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast was announced from Suzanna’s Kitchen after a lab test detected possible listeria contamination (the products were made on Oct. 14) and sent to foodservice centers in several states including Florida; no illnesses have been reported.  WCTV

  • At his home, the Wiregrass Auction Group discovered coach Bobby Bowden’s meticulous football notes including personal and religious reflections as preparations for the Bobby Bowden Legacy Auction slated for March continue with hundreds of memorabilia items to be bid on online over a two-week period.  Tallahassee Democrat
  • On Sunday, Jan. 18, Florida State women's basketball fell 82-55 to North Carolina at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center — graduate guard Jasmine Shavers led with 15 points and the team will travel to Dallas to face SMU on Thursday, Jan. 22.  Tallahassee Democrat
  • The Florida State women’s tennis team defeated USF 6-1 at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon, winning in both doubles and singles. The Seminoles will return next Saturday to face Nevada — part of the ITA Kickoff Weekend in Auburn.  Tallahassee Reports
  • The Brookwood boys basketball team, coming off a state runner-up finish last season, aims for its first state title since 2008 as it plays Deerfield Windsor on the road today and faces Valwood at home Friday + coach VanDuyne said the squad values mini victories and fun.  WCTV
