- ➤ Tallahassee State College announced its 26th annual Cherry Hall Alexander African American History Calendar (themed 'A Century of Impact: African Americans in the Military') to honor local veterans, with free copies available on campus starting Feb. 2. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Hate Ends Now displayed a replica cattle car outside the Florida Capitol Tuesday to honor International Holocaust Remembrance Day and spark discussion about bigotry — the organization also held outreach at Leon High School Wednesday morning to educate students and preserve firsthand survivor accounts. - ➤ FSU Food for Thought Pantry received a record breaking $1 million donation from Brian & Kathryn Ballard on Wednesday, Jan. 28 to fund renovations that will expand food support for students at University Center A. - ➤ FSU Libraries launched Add to the Archive at Strozier to invite students, faculty, and staff to contribute Polaroid portraits, artworks, and handwritten notes to document campus history. The contributions will be preserved in official archives for research and public view through the digital repository. Florida State University
- ➤ Florida State University’s Honors Program was ranked No. 1 in Florida by College Transitions on its 2026 list, highlighting its growth from 400 to over 800+ students per class. - ➤ The USPS is hosting job fairs in Tallahassee and Lake City to fill mail carrier, assistant carrier and automotive technician roles with starting pay at $21.89 per hour and available benefits.
