- ➤ Second Harvest of the Big Bend said this week that it received a grant from the Florida Blue Foundation to support its FARMacy Program, a mobile market bringing groceries to rural neighborhoods in Big Bend. The funds will cover all food for the trailer and help reach more families. ABC 27

- ➤ On Jan. 29 at FSU's Askew Student Life Center, the 17th annual Middle Eastern Film Festival opened with the Palme d’Or-winning film 'It Was Just An Accident' and drew students with its thrills and comedy. An opening ceremony with catering + belly dance preceded screenings every Thursday until Feb. 19. FSU News

- ➤ A recent poll found 97.44% of Tallahassee residents oppose the plan for Schools of Hope to share facilities with public schools. Critics argue that the state-backed charter model would divert funds and resources from public education. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ FSU women's basketball stars Sydney Bowles and Avery Treadwell balance tough engineering studies and a demanding schedule on the court, with Bowles majoring in Civic Engineering and Treadwell pursuing Chemical Engineering. They will test their skills today at Clemson at 4:00 p.m. + WCTV

- ➤ Former FSU players Max Williams and Joe Charles began their pro baseball careers after standout seasons at Florida State. Williams debuted on Aug. 5 with the Miami Marlins’ Jupiter Hammerheads and Charles signed with the Mets after a brief stint in real estate. FSU News
