- ➤ A total lunar eclipse, also known as a blood moon, will be viewable in Florida on Tuesday, March 3. It begins at 3:44 a.m. ET and lasts about six hours with nearly an hour of totality. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ FSU’s Club Downunder will host Saturday Night Live cast members Andrew Dismukes and Jane Wickline for a stand-up comedy show tomorrow, Feb. 21 at the Student Union Ballrooms — doors open at 7 p.m. and the show starts at 8 p.m. FSU News
- ➤ Violent Vira, a rising alt-rock star, will perform her 'Our Lady of Sorrows Tour' concert at The Moon on May 12. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. today with general admission priced at $25. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Local comedians The Joke Boys performed a live set on Feb. 16 at Aloft Hotels downtown where college-age crowds enjoyed in-person digital humor. The show is part of their Supersenior Tour that will visit college towns including Gainesville and Orlando. FSU News

- ➤ CareerSource Capital Region introduced its new CEO Keantha Moore on Wednesday and she will strengthen community connections and improve services for employers and job seekers. The organization has also scheduled a Summer Jobs and Internships Showcase in March and a Growing Forward Employer Resource Luncheon in April. ABC 27

- ➤ FSU hosted its 10th 24-hour Design Sprint (Hack the Job Market) at the Innovation Hub on campus where students partnered with Amazon Web Services and the Career Center to build AI-powered tools for matching internships; the winning team, Spear Career AI, will receive further AWS mentorship to refine their solution. - ➤ Florida residents can view a total lunar eclipse on Tuesday, March 3 when the moon turns red-orange at 3:44 a.m. ET, with totality lasting about an hour and the full event spanning six hours. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ Florida Highway Patrol honors Trooper Michael Diego, who died in the line of duty during training — his colleagues mourn his loss and remember his service. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ On Feb. 19, Tallahassee International Airport held a full-scale disaster response exercise that featured a simulated plane fire and mass casualties. Airport staff, along with local agencies, coordinated the drill to renew FAA certification and ensure first responders were ready for real emergencies — community volunteers added realism to the exercise.
