- ➤ Equiturn Holdings earned top spot on the 2026 Seminole 100 list for fastest-growing FSU alumni-owned businesses when it was honored Saturday, Feb. 21 at the Donald L. - ➤ FSU’s Askew Student Life Cinema hosted a Black History Month Fest where films like Nickel Boys, Creed and BlacKkKlansman were shown alongside free soul food and crafts. The event, organized by the Black Student Union + FSU’s NAACP chapter, celebrated Black heritage on campus mid-Feb. FSU News

- ➤ Florida State University’s Board of Trustees approved a three-year contract extension for President Richard McCullough on Wednesday—pending Florida Board of Governors approval. The board praised his leadership in boosting student success, research spending, and campus innovations since 2021. Florida State University
- ➤ Florida State University will mark 15 years of giving with its annual Great Give on Wednesday, March 4, as the 24-hour event is set to raise at least $1 million for students, faculty, staff and research. Supporters can contribute online and by check with the fund designation noted. Florida State University
- ➤ FSU’s Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship will launch a free Veteran Entrepreneurship Certificate Program in Leon County to provide hands-on training for veterans, service members and military-connected families in Tallahassee. The six-week course will run on Saturdays and Wednesday evenings from mid-April through May 20, with limited space available. Florida State University
- ➤ Leon educator John Michael Conley died Feb. 22 at 89 in Tallahassee. He taught at Leon High School for 33 years, served on the Leon County School Board, and will be honored Friday, March 20 at Pisgah Methodist Church. Tallahassee Reports
