- ➤ FSU's Dance Marathon for pediatric care wrapped up its 30-hour fundraiser (31st year) from Feb. 27 to March 1 at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center by raising $316,990, strengthening its legacy of support for children in need. FSU News
- ➤ The Cross Creek Family Resource Center in Leon County offers free services & resources to help local families overcome transportation barriers by bringing multiple supports under one roof. The center is available to residents today. WCTV

- ➤ Five FSU professors were named National Academy of Inventors Senior Members, joining a team that holds more than 11,000 patents. They will be honored at an induction ceremony (June 1-4) during NAI’s Annual Conference in Los Angeles. Florida State University
- ➤ Leon County now accepts applications for its 2026 Summer Youth Training Program (ages 14 to 24). The five-week program runs June 29 to July 31, pays $14 per hour for 20 hours, and offers skill training via Learn, Earn and Advance; applications are due April 20 at 5 p.m. WCTV
- ➤ Florida State University’s Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship graduated its first cohort from the Creative Arts Entrepreneurship program linking the College of Music, Fine Arts and Motion Picture Arts. - ➤ In January 2026, the median sales price for existing homes in the Tallahassee MSA dropped 5.8% to $325,000 from $345,000 in December 2025, with transactions decreasing 2.9% as nearly 90% of deals occurred in Leon county (per data from the Florida Association of REALTORS®). Tallahassee Reports
