- ➤ Florida State University's plan to acquire Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare assets moves to the State University System’s Board of Governors for review on March 26 at the University of West Florida; the deal includes a $1.7 billion investment + a 40-year lease for TMH to operate as an academic health center that will expand specialty care. - ➤ FSU’s Remote Area Medical team launched free healthcare services at Rickards High School — providing medical, dental and vision care without ID or insurance starting at 6:00 a.m. today. - ➤ Local pool player Sunil (Sunny) Patel held an exhibition match Saturday at Zingales Sports Bar and Grill to raise funds as he prepares for the APA Wheelchair Championship in Las Vegas next month. WCTV
- ➤ Tallahassee State men’s basketball finished a strong season without a state tournament spot because selection rules favored teams from a neighboring conference — Athletic Director Chuck Moore said change is coming to give the best teams a fair shot at national play as talks on expanding the NJCAA field move forward.
