  • Talethia Edwards was named a Trailblazer by the Oasis Center for Women & Girls during Women’s History Month for her work as a grassroots community organizer in Tallahassee.   • Florida State University's Jim Moran Institute is launching the upcoming Forgotten Coast Small Business Program for small business owners in Franklin County and nearby areas—offered at no cost thanks to support from The Jim Moran Foundation and Jan Moran. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Federal Judge Mark Walker dismissed a lawsuit challenging a Florida law that restricts children under 16 from creating accounts on major social media platforms, saying tech groups did not show legal standing (HB 3). The groups, including NetChoice and the Computer & Communications Industry Association, said they will file a revised complaint by (March 31) and renew their request for a preliminary injunction.  Tallahassee Reports

  • Florida State women’s basketball faced LSU in the NCAA Tournament second round on Monday at 6 p.m. at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center in Baton Rouge as the Seminoles looked to reach the Sweet 16 for the first time since 2017—having advanced with a 94 to 59 win over George Mason, the game was shown nationally on ESPN.  Tallahassee Democrat
