CULTURE NEWS

  • On April 4, FSU held its annual Spring Fling — a Renaissance fair alternative — in Oglesby Union where students enjoyed medieval food trucks, music and carnival rides. Special events coordinator Madison LeVine said the event boosted campus engagement and creativity.  FSU News

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Twenty-three Girl Scouts received the Gold Award—Girl Scouting’s highest honor—for their community service projects at a ceremony held at the FSU Alumni Center in Tallahassee, where their work addressed issues such as expanding STEM access and protecting the environment.  ABC 27

SPORTS NEWS

  • Florida State softball beat Virginia 13-2 Sunday in a five-inning run-rule game—Angelee Bueno hit her first grand slam to spark seven runs in the opening inning—and clinched the series. The Seminoles will face St. Mary's Wednesday, play Cal in Berkeley starting Friday at 6 p.m., and host Georgia Tech next Friday at the Seminole Softball Complex.  Tallahassee Democrat
  • On April 2, Florida State softball shut out No. 2 Florida Gators 4-0 at JoAnne Graf Field—delivering their 14th straight win. Outfielder Jahni Kerr hit home runs to put the Seminoles ahead—while pitcher Ashtyn Danley earned the win.  FSU News
  • Florida State baseball lost 17-2 to Wake Forest on Sunday in a game ruled by the run rule, marking its first ACC series loss of the season and second straight run-rule loss. The Seminoles will face Florida on Tuesday, April 8 at 7 p.m. at Condron Family Ballpark.  Tallahassee Democrat
  • FAMU baseball swept the Jackson State Tigers in a three-game SWAC series on Moore-Kittles Field by outscoring them 29-10 while extending its winning streak to six games—now holding the best record in conference play at 11-1. The Rattlers will host Mercer on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. before heading on the road for their next series against Mississippi Valley State.  Tallahassee Democrat
  • Florida State’s Doak Campbell Stadium is undergoing a $265M renovation as teams work day and night with soft openings starting in July ahead of the season opener on August 30. Fans will enjoy new features — wider seats, improved restrooms and enhanced concourses — while premium seating and donation plans set a fresh game day experience.  FSU News
