- ➤ NWF Health Network is merging with Capital City Youth Services to expand shelter, counseling and adoption services for at-risk children in northwest Florida. The partnership will use a CCYS facility to bring acute resources and improved benefits to reach underserved areas. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ According to AAA, gas prices in Florida dropped slightly over Easter weekend with the state average at $4.198 on April 6 compared to $4.205 on Easter Sunday. In Tallahassee, prices are around $4.129 & still above the national average of $4.119. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ Florida State University hosted its annual Undergraduate Research Symposium on April 1 at the Student Union Ballrooms, where over 700 students presented research on topics like artificial intelligence and local transit. - ➤ March permits jumped to 58 from 46 last year — a 26.1% increase — while the 3-month average permit value rose to $13.0 million from $12.7 million, reversing a declining trend since June 2025. Total permits issued in 2026 at 123 still lag behind early 2025’s 143. Tallahassee Reports
