  • On April 17th, a student named Phoenix Ikner opened fire near the student union building at Florida State University in Tallahassee—killing two and injuring six as students took cover under tables and in a conference meeting room.  The Independent
  • Florida State University community held a vigil Friday at Langford Green in front of the Unconquered Statue to honor victims of Thursday's campus shooting as school officials canceled classes and investigators probed the case involving a 20-year-old student who used a handgun that belonged to his stepmother (a Leon County Sheriff's deputy).  CBS News
