- ➤ Playwrights gathered over the weekend at Theatre Tallahassee for the Third Annual Friends with the Write Stuff festival. The 3-day event gave 22 writers a chance to share mini plays—several of which have been published—and let actors perform impromptu scenes. WFSU

- ➤ FSU softball beat Georgia Tech 8 to 5 in nine innings with a go-ahead ninth-inning home run by Ashtyn Danley. The Seminoles swept their opponent and will face Florida in Gainesville on Tuesday at 7 p.m. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Florida State baseball lost 7-4 to Stanford on Sunday in Palo Alto as Rintaro Sasaki delivered a walk-off grand slam to complete a rare sweep; the Seminoles will host South Florida on Wed, April 29 at Dick Howser Stadium (4 p.m.). Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Freshman Marin Heller powered FSU softball (a team on the rise) with her strong swing and impressive stats, earning ACC Co-Freshman of the Week honors on Feb. 17 at the Shriner Children's Clearwater Invitational. The Iowa native now helps the team chase national championship dreams. FSU News
- ➤ Former FSU quarterback Tommy Castellanos accepted rookie minicamp invites from the Tennessee Titans and Miami Dolphins to try out as a wide receiver after he went unselected in the draft on April 26.
