- ➤ Over 60 local veterans took part in the 11th annual Honor Flight Tallahassee trip to Washington, D.C. on Saturday and returned home after a day filled with celebrations and gratitude for their service. WCTV

- ➤ Florida State University reopened its Student Union nearly two weeks after a mass shooting that killed two and injured five, offering free food, drinks and games while giving students a chance to reflect on the tragedy – future operating hours remain undetermined. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ Families and loved ones of fallen law enforcement officers were honored at a memorial service held yesterday at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center by the Florida Fraternal Order of Police—officers marched during the event to remember those who died in the line of duty. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ On April 28, a memorial service at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center honored 19 fallen law enforcement officers—families received framed photos, patches, and badges. The ceremony featured a bagpipe-led march and added names to the Memorial Wall by the Florida Sheriffs Association—recalling officers who died as far back as 1887. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ The FDA announced a recall of 173,616 bottles of apple juice due to concerns over possible patulin poisoning from mold.
