- ➤ On Friday night, Tallahassee police responded at about 9:50 p.m. to gunshots in a city-owned park near Railroad Square where a large crowd fled amid rapid fire and a brief fight—bullet casings and one minor injury were found—while no arrests have been made. Tallahassee Democrat
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Florida lawmakers passed a bill that bans cell phone use throughout the school day in elementary and middle schools and sets up a pilot program in six counties to test a full-day ban in high schools — the House vote was 85-14 and the Senate vote was 26-5 before the bill goes to Gov.
