- ➤ New signs in Publix stores now ask that only law enforcement carry visible firearms, reversing a change made last fall when the chain allowed open carry. The update was confirmed May 6 and is featured among other store rules. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ WCTV in Tallahassee resumed broadcasting DISH programming on May 1 after Gray Media and DISH ended a contract dispute that had left viewers without service since March 11 + other Gray-owned outlets across Florida also restored programming. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ Florida State alumna Christiani Pitts earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role for Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) after nominations were announced Tuesday.
