CRIME NEWS

  • FSU student Phoenix Ikner, 20, who was shot in the jaw during an April 17 campus shooting that killed two and injured six, made his first court appearance Tuesday at 11 a.m. facing charges of two counts of first-degree murder & seven counts of attempted murder.  WCTV
  • Phoenix Ikner, the alleged FSU gunman who attacked the Student Union on April 17 and was shot in his jaw before being released from the hospital on May 12, now faces two counts of first-degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder while being held at Wakulla County Detention Facility—officials confirmed two fatalities occurred in the attack.  Tallahassee Democrat
  • Phoenix Ikner, a 20-year-old suspect charged with two counts of first degree murder and seven counts of attempted murder, was denied bond at the Wakulla County Detention Center after his court appearance following an active shooter incident at FSU on April 17 at 11:58 a.m.—authorities reported that officers encountered him in a shooting stance with a recovered handgun and found multiple victims at the scene.  ABC 27

  • Friends of Maclay Gardens will host the 30th Annual Maclay Tour of Gardens at Maclay Gardens State Park on May 16 and 17, where visitors will pick up booklets for self-guided tours and enjoy a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Participants must buy one-day tickets online + the event will showcase diverse, beautifully restored gardens in Tallahassee.  Tallahassee Democrat
