- ➤ Starting June 2, local sponsors—including churches, camps, and school sites—will serve free meals on-site to children and teens 18 and under at over 50 Tallahassee locations. The program, part of the National Summer Food Service Program and funded by the USDA, will offer balanced meals that include milk, grains, fruits, vegetables, and protein. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Sienna Lee Gardens will host its Grand Opening Blueberry Extravaganza on Saturday, May 24 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with live music, a new Mexican food truck, free craft brewery samples, raffle gift cards, and a Blueberry Ice Cream cart; the farm will extend its U-Pick hours (9 a.m. to 2 p.m.) from Wednesday to Sunday to serve more visitors in Tallahassee. - ➤ Florida Highway Patrol is investigating a hit-and-run crash on U.S. 90 near Academy Drive in Gadsden County that killed a 42-year-old man on May 22 at 8:02 a.m.—law enforcement is searching for a Toyota Corolla from 2014 to 2017. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Wakulla County man Stuart Mauney was found guilty of second-degree murder for killing Timothy Blyth during a mobility-impaired hunt at St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge on Dec. 12, 2021 — he will be sentenced on July 10 — and now faces up to life in prison. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ A poll of Leon County voters shows that 40% want the city to keep ownership of Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare while expanding its partnership with FSU & nearly 60% expect care quality to improve if TMH joins FSU Health. - ➤ Florida State softball shortstop Isa Torres credits a positive mindset for her strong season as she prepares for today’s Super Regional matchup against Texas Tech at the Seminole Softball Complex - she has a .448 average with 95 hits and could break the school’s single-season hit record if she reaches 100 hits.
