- ➤ Florida state parks now offer free entry this Memorial Day weekend to honor America's 250th birthday; families in Tallahassee are visiting Maclay Gardens State Park to enjoy its nature & history as free entry continues through Monday. WCTV
- ➤ On Saturday, dozens gathered at Tallahassee National Cemetery for a Memorial Day ceremony that included a three-volley salute and a call to honor veterans every day. Director Andrew Santa-Pinter stressed the importance of teaching local youth about veterans' sacrifices. WCTV

- ➤ The new CEO of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce is meeting with business, education & government leaders to plan measures that turn university research into companies and create an innovation hub. - ➤ Leon High School held its graduation ceremony at the Tucker Civic Center on Saturday, May 23, where 413 graduates were honored; a photo gallery from the event shows special moments for families & friends. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Godby High School held its graduation ceremony on May 23 at 1:03 p.m. at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center (268 graduates) as family and friends cheered, and graduation photos are now available online. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Over 2,000 seniors celebrated graduation today at the Donald L. Tucker Civc center, as Leon County Schools honored students from Chiles, Lincoln, Rickards, Godby and Leon high schools. Superintendent Rocky Hanna shook hands with graduates + nearly 1,000 photographs documented the celebrations. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ FAMU baseball beat Southern to advance to its second straight SWAC Tournament championship game at Rickwood Field in Birmingham.
