EDUCATION NEWS

  • Darryl Jones, a school board member, urged Lively Technical College graduates during his May 28 speech to use their diplomas as a path to start local businesses and lead their communities forward. HEALTH NEWS

  • Tallahassee pet owners are advised to watch their dogs—especially seniors, puppies, and those with black, brown, or flat faces—for signs of heat stress such as a bright red tongue and heavy panting, and move affected pets into a cool place while contacting a veterinarian if needed.  Tallahassee Democrat
  • NAMI Tallahassee received a $27,600 donation—its second quarterly gift from 100+ Women Who Care—to fund free mental health services in Leon and surrounding counties. The donation adds to nearly $493,150 given since the group began in 2020 to support local nonprofits.  Tallahassee Democrat
