ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ The Tallahassee Fire Department said a kitchen fire broke out on the second floor of an apartment at the 1300 block of Tharpe Street on Thursday night and firefighters extinguished it a little after 9 p.m. — no one was hurt as residents had already left. WCTV
- ➤ One person died and several were injured when a pickup truck and a Toyota Prius crashed on Woodville Highway Friday evening — Coastal Highway was closed near the intersection and local officials advised drivers to take alternate routes. WCTV

- ➤ Florida State Parks launched the Capture the Real Florida photo contest for summer, inviting park visitors to submit one photo per category from landscapes to Historic Encounters from July 1 through Sept. 1 — winners will earn prizes including a gift card, annual pass and paddleboard.
