- ➤ A 35-year-old man was shot Monday night at the West Drive Villas complex near Horne Ave and White Drive in west Tallahassee and was hospitalized with serious injuries—police said no arrests have been made. WCTV
- ➤ On July 21, a man was seriously injured in a shooting near Horne Avenue & White Drive in northwest Tallahassee when he was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a local hospital, while police said no arrests have been made and the incident is believed to be isolated. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Hulu’s four-part docuseries 'Mr. & Mrs. Murder' will stream on July 30 and explores the 2000 murder of Mike Williams in Tallahassee—focusing on best friend Brian Winchester’s confession and Williams’ wife Denise’s conviction—through interviews with family, law enforcement and journalists. - ➤ Four recent FSU history master’s graduates, Hope Evans, Alessio Luna, Jacqueline Vanegas & Jacob Winton, earned the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation’s Historic Preservation Scholar Award for preserving Florida’s history at a conference in Fernandina Beach. Florida State University
- ➤ Florida State University’s College of Social Sciences and Public Policy now offers a 12-credit graduate certificate in Public Health Epidemiology that trains public health professionals in chronic, infectious, social, and general epidemiology — the program is available to both degree and non-degree students. Applications for fall open the second week of classes and close on Nov 14, with students needing to apply before completing six credits and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Florida State University
