- ➤ A former Tallahassee mayoral candidate was sentenced to 22 years in prison for robbing a Dollar General in 2024. WCTV
- ➤ Tallahassee Police confirmed one person died in a homicide on the 900 block of E. Magnolia St around 11 p.m. Friday+ investigators are questioning witnesses+ details such as the victim's identity and cause of death have not been released. WCTV

- ➤ Tallahassee Hispanic Theater debuts five 15-minute plays at the 8th Annual Micro Theater Festival at Goodwood Museum on Aug. 8 and Aug. 9 from 7:30-10:30 p.m.—the festival will also feature live music and Hispanic food, with tickets at $25 for general admission and $20 for students, seniors and veterans. - ➤ Eight new doctors began their residencies at HCA Florida Capital Hospital in dermatology and psychiatry—residencies that last three and four years respectively—with training provided by experienced faculty to meet local healthcare needs. - ➤ Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare unveiled a mural on E. Sixth Ave that celebrated 40 years of animal therapy and honored 225 volunteer teams serving over 150 facilities.
