  • The Tallahassee Film Festival will run from Sept. 26 to Sept. 28 at venues such as Challenger Learning Center IMAX, Cap City Video Lounge, and 621 Gallery in Railroad Square—opening with the debut 'hangout horror' film by FSU grad Alexander Ullom—with a weekend lineup of films and local events focused on Floridian themes.  Tallahassee Democrat

  • FSU student body president Carson Dale was elected chair of the Florida Student Association in May — his seat on the Florida Board of Governors gives him a vote for over 430,000 students. Ron DeSantis said his administration is considering a mid-decade redistricting plan following a state court ruling, and Common Cause warned Tuesday that moves in Texas and California could spark a domino effect—its senior policy director said lawsuits would be filed if maps favor one party—while Florida lawmakers must approve any new plan.  Tallahassee Reports
