- ➤ On Saturday, Hurricane Erin reached Category 5 strength and is expected to keep that intensity as it turns north in the coming days. The storm will stay away from North Florida and South Georgia, though high waves and dangerous surf are likely along the Atlantic coast. WCTV

- ➤ Sue Dick is stepping down as president and CEO of the Greater Tallahassee Chamber of Commerce after 25 years, and she will give her last speech at the Annual Community Conference this week—marking the end of her tenure. Her work helped boost growth through projects like the Blueprint sales tax and the recruitment of Danfoss Turbocar. Tallahassee Democrat
