CRIME NEWS
- ➤ On Sept. 1, a shooting at Redpoint Tallahassee injured three people, and police confirmed that two men and one woman were treated and found stable while neighbors recalled chaos and questioned security measures—such as a broken sidewalk gate—in the complex. Tallahassee Democrat
- ➤ Today, Donna Adelson faces trial for her alleged role in a murder conspiracy as the defense presents evidence while the prosecution continues its case following six days of testimony—four others have already been convicted in this long-running investigation. WCTV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Following a deadly shooting on campus, the FSU Board of Trustees discussed safety measures—330 lockdown buttons and 290 panic buttons have been installed in classrooms. WCTV

- ➤ The City of Tallahassee will host a groundbreaking ceremony for a 2,500-square-foot grocery store on Sept 4 at 10 a.m. at the corner of Alabama and Harlem in Griffin Heights — Architects Lewis—Whitlock designed the project and Tip Top Construction will complete it by 2026. Tallahassee Reports
- ➤ The FY26 budget proposal for Tallahassee included 3,044.75 full-time employees, an increase of 47 FTEs—Leon County Sheriff’s Office reported an arrest on August 29 for property and drug crimes.
