- ➤ The Tallahassee Ballet held its 35th Evening of Music and Dance event at FSU Opperman Music Hall on September 19 and September 21 where a live orchestra and dancers performed both classic works like Cinderella and new pieces. - ➤ FSU will host a weeklong Seminole Futures Recruitment Series from Sept. 24 to Oct. 2 to give students hands-on career exploration and networking opportunities with many employers. - ➤ FSU updated its Student Conduct Code in September to clarify language and expand the definition of harassment, and its Freedom of Speech and Expression website now warns that some actions could lead to campus trespass — officials stressed that using carts for normal tasks is allowed. - ➤ Loranne Ausley, a former Florida legislator, filed her paperwork Friday to run for Tallahassee City Commission Seat 4/Mayor, joining current city commissioner Jeremy Matlow + civil rights attorney Daryl Parks in a competitive race. Her 20-year experience in state politics promises to boost her campaign in a contest among heavy-hitters. WCTV
- ➤ Former state senator Loranne Ausley announced her run for mayor in Tallahassee, joining City Commissioner Jeremy Matlow & local attorney Daryl Parks in the race. The Tallahassee Police Department is investigating a homicide from a shooting at 1:53 a.m. on September 20th in the 2700 block of Kennedy Drive & has not released further details. Tallahassee Reports

- ➤ On September 19th, Godby Cougars hosted the Chiles Timberwolves for their homecoming game and won 35—17. Demaris Bunion returned kickoffs for touchdowns and Godby's defense made key plays to secure the victory. Tallahassee Reports
- ➤ FSU coach Mike Norvell said he is confident that quarterback Tommy Castellanos will play against Virginia on Friday, Sep 26—tight end Randy Pittman and wide receiver Squirrel White are expected to return and freshman defensive lineman Kevin Wynn may debut if he recovers well. - ➤ FSU won a record-breaking 66-10 victory over Kent State on Saturday after a 42-minute lightning delay, setting school records with 775 total yards and 498 rushing yards.
