- ➤ Elder Care will host its 27th Annual Oktoberfest on Sunday, Nov 2 on the AC Hotel Plaza Lawn in Downtown Tallahassee with VIP guests entering at 2 p.m. and general admission starting at 3 p.m.—the event will offer music, food, craft brews, and a silent auction to support services for older adults. After Oktoberfest, a charity bottle share will take place at Southern Philosophy Brewing from 5 to 8 p.m. to raise funds for the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Wellness Coalition. - ➤ During the Oct. 27th and Oct. 28th district golf tournaments, Maclay was the only Leon County school to win both its boys and girls 1A District 3 team titles — and Florida High’s Hunter Glantz and Peyton Johnson won the individual titles, bringing the wins back to Tallahassee.
