- ➤ Florida State University’s Theatre program is showing "You on the Moors Now" at Lab Theatre from Oct 31 to Nov 9 — the play retells classic novel stories in a fresh way and gives students real work experience on stage and behind the scenes. FSU News
- ➤ Young Actors Theatre received a $5,000 grant from Arts for Autism and will present a special matinee of The Little Mermaid today that has been tailored to keep sensory overload low for those on the autism spectrum. - ➤ The Florida Board of Governors approved new graduation targets for public universities that will take effect next year as part of a strategic plan to boost student outcomes. - ➤ FSU’s Claude Pepper Center and AARP Florida partnered to host the first Florida Caregiving Summit on Nov. 4 at the Jim Moran Building in downtown Tallahassee—where policymakers, specialists and community leaders discussed the financial and policy challenges facing family caregivers. - ➤ The Apalachee Center partnered with Bethel Missionary Baptist Church to launch the Apalachee Bethel Initiative for Mental Health (AIM) to expand mental health awareness in Frenchtown and across Tallahassee.
