- ➤ A local nonprofit is providing holiday gifts to nearly 50 foster teens through its Remembering Me Project, which has helped over 500 teens in 11 years. A benefit breakfast dinner to raise funds will be held at Earley's Kitchen on South Monroe Street at 6 p.m. on Nov. 17 — tickets cost $30 and donations will be accepted until Dec. 12 with gifts delivered on Dec. 19. - ➤ A rebranded hotel on Capital Circle Northeast now offers full food and drink service to guests and locals. Bob Brier of the Edgewater Group said the hotel is the first full service, extended stay, upscale property in Tallahassee and he expects it will bring more visitors as travel picks up — a shift in the local dining scene. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ At a Nov 14 meeting at Northside Community Center, residents raised concerns over a Comp Plan proposal to allow more development near Lake Jackson after Commissioner Rick Minor said the plan no longer changes the urban service area as originally recommended. Critics remain worried the issue might reappear in another form, and Minor will propose a measure at the county meeting on Nov 18 to block such changes in the future. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ ESPN and ABC returned to YouTube TV after Disney and Google reached an agreement—restoring access for nearly 10 million subscribers ahead of key college football games.
