ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A fire at The Social Seminole student apartments—located in Tallahassee—left 72 adults, one infant, and four pets displaced and injured eight on Nov. 19, and nearly $23,000 has been raised through multiple fundraisers to help victims rebuild their lives. Tallahassee Democrat

- ➤ Florida launched a free Main Street app to help travelers find local businesses and events in historic Main Street communities—showing details for more than 4,000 places like restaurants, parks, and theaters. - ➤ Florida State University's international iGEM team won a gold medal at the Paris Convention Centre from Oct. 28—31 for designing proteins that help remove microplastics from the body. - ➤ Leon County has issued a burn ban starting (8 a.m.) today and set to end (11:59 p.m.) on Nov. 26 to reduce fire hazards amid an exceptional drought; county staff will recheck weather conditions on Wednesday to decide if fire pits may be allowed for Thanksgiving. - ➤ FSU's men's basketball team welcomed 15-year-old Trace Thompson after he signed a letter of intent on November 19 following his practice on November 18.
