- ➤ Florida State freshman Jasen Lopez — nicknamed J-Rock — began playing basketball at his early practice on Jan. 8 and will join the football program in March after the season ends, following guidance from coaches Loucks and Norvell. FSU News
- ➤ FSU is launching campus expansion with new dorms, a dining hall, and a parking garage on the northwest side starting soon; dorm construction begins March 1 and should finish by fall 2028, while the parking garage starts April 1 and completes by May 2027. FSU News
- ➤ FSU's National MagLab welcomed nearly 8,000 families on Saturday in South Tallahassee as visitors experimented with powerful scientific equipment at its annual open house aimed at inspiring young scientists. ABC 27
